The background, which is uncontroversial, is that on 20 August 2013 His Honour Judge Newton, as he then was, sitting at Ipswich County Court, as it then was, made final care and placement orders in relation to Mr. Hancock's son. Mr. Hancock's attempts to challenge those orders foundered when, on 12 December 2013, Moore-Bick LJ refused him permission to appeal.
